  • I’m pretty organized. Do I really need a wedding planner?
    Planning a wedding should be exciting and romantic, but understanding and organizing all of the detail that comes along with planning a once-in-a-lifetime event does not come without stress! A wedding planner’s job is to help alleviate those pressures and ease your mind both on, and leading up to, your big day. We will work with you and your partner to help you find the perfect vendors (like venues, caterers, musicians, entertainers, insurance providers, lighting and sound technicians, florists, photographers, cake decorators, videographers, rental companies, and more) to bring your vision to life! We’ll work within your budget (and help you stay there!), help you negotiate contracts, assist you with navigating difficult or tricky family dynamics, create diagrams and timelines, act as the primary communicator between all industry professionals, provide unbiased opinions sprinkled with industry expertise, handle all of the logistics and find the perfect touches to represent your unique story and run every part of your day like a well-oiled machine - thus allowing you to leave the stress to someone else and focus on enjoying the wedding of your dreams!
  • How do I know which wedding planner is the right fit for me?
    You'll be spending a lot of time with your wedding planner leading up to your wedding and on the day-of, so it’s important that you choose someone who you feel comfortable with, that you can trust, and that fully understands your vision. The same rings true for your planner - this is an emotional investment on both sides. Afterall, a planner will ultimately end up acting as your financial advisor, contract negotiator, counselor, designer, educator, parent, sibling, and yes - even your friend.   • What do your packages include?
    Each of our packages are custom-created, based on your individual needs and desires. We list starting prices on our services page to give you a general idea of what to expect, but you can rest assured that your distinct package will be tailored to you and your partner like a bespoke gown!
  • Will I still have control over my wedding if I hire a planner?
    Of course! Our job is to bring all of your visions to life, and we can have as much or as little say in the planning and design process as you would like. We will provide you with suggestions, tools and guidance along the way, but ultimately you are the boss!
  • Do you plan weddings outside of Rhode Island?
    Yes! Travel fees for areas outside of a 50 mile radius of Newport can be added to your custom package.
  • Why should I hire Aquidneck Events?
    We think that finding the right wedding planner is nearly as important as finding the right partner!
